ROTHBURY cowboy Jason O’Hearn  from the Hunter Valley will be one of the form bull riders competing in the Albury Xtreme Bulls event at the Boomerang Hotel on Saturday night.

The rodeo will start at 7pmand there will be two rounds of the bull ride.

O’Hearn is a past winner of Australian Professional Rodeo Association titles and finished on top of the open bull ride standings at the end of the 2016 season. He has drawn the bull House Party in round 1 at Albury

He won’t get it all his own way in the bull ride at the Boomerang  Hotel in Albury.

Tooma cowboy Brad Pierce is a former world rookie all around bull ride winner and is a rider who is strong in two rough stock events, the bull ride and saddle bronc.

Last year, he won the saddle bronc  title in the  APRA and will be aiming for a winning score on the bull Up From Below on Saturday night at Albury.

Upper Horton (NSW) cowboy Troy Wilkinson is the current  APRA champion and will be on Kings Cross in round 1.

The Queensland charge for victory at Albury will come from Sonny Schafferius who will be aiming to stay for eight seconds on the back of bucking bull Grease Lightning.

There is a second APRA rodeo on Saturday at Bundaberg in Queensland and competitors will then eye off the big Marrabel Rodeo in South Australia on October 2 and The Carlton Dry Warwick Rodeo National Finals on October 26-30 at the Warwick Showgrounds.
