5. Team Roping – one run per person (team entry). One member from each team must enter with both membership numbers.
6. No trade outs will be accepted after the draw is finalised.
7. Permit and day members may enter the Saddle Bronc ride, but if the number exceeds the amount of horses available, they will be balloted out. Open members will not be taken out.
8. Rodeo will consist of one round with a slack at 10am on Saturday (this may change depending on entry numbers).
9. Prizemoney will be paid out over one round.
10. All dogs are to be restrained within the competitors camping area and are not to be allowed in the vicinity of the rodeo arena or public area. Any dogs found roaming will be handed over to the pound. These rules must be strictly adhered to because of previous dog attacks.
11. Gates will open for campers from Monday 15 August from 12pm. Camping is free. Toilets and Showers available. No power will be supplied this year, generators are allowed. Roped off area per unit is not to exceed 20 metres x 12 metres.
12. Kids under 15 free.
13. No glass bottles to be bought into the grounds.
14. All rubbish to be put into bins provided.

11 and under poddy ride $200 prizemoney
10 and under mini bulls $250 prizemoney
11 - 15 mini bulls $250 prizemoney
12 and under barrel race $200 prizemoney
There will also be a Junior Bull ride 14-17 years, but entries for this must be done through Central Entries of the APRA. Please check on their website for details.
Entry fees are as follows: $30 for mini bulls and $25 for the poddy ride and 12 and under barrel race plus one fee of $5.50 day membership of the APRA and $3.30 per event for insurance purposes. The total entry fee is $38.80 for the mini bulls and $33.80 for the poddy ride and under 12 barrel race. If the competitor is a member of the APRA, please ignore the day membership fees and quote their membership number. Entries need to be submitted and the entry fees paid in full by Friday 11th August. The competitor and one adult companion will receive free entry. There will be no tickets for sale at the gates this year, so you must buy extras online at townsvilletickets.com,au or Donohue’s Western Wear in Townsville. Please don’t leave this until the last minute, as we sell out every year in the week prior.
At this stage, the junior rodeo events will commence at 1pm on Saturday 19th August, but if this changes, competitors will be advised. Entries will only be taken via that email address, no entries will be taken by phone or text.
Entries for the other junior events will be taken by APRA and are as follows: team roping, breakaway roping, 17 and under barrel race, 14-17 bull ride. Information for this can be found on their website.

22.1 Turnout fine of $50 if in performance or slack and you do not notify Central Entry Office or Rodeo Secretary.
22.2 Turnout fine of $10 if in performance and you do notify the Central Entry Office by 5pm the Thursday prior to the Rodeo.
22.3 Turnout in slack and notify the Central Entry Office before 5pm on the Thursday before the Rodeo. No fine.
22.4 All turnouts required to pay entry fees. all fees and fines to be paid prior to competitor being permitted to enter further rodeos.
22.5 Unfinancial Members or Members on the Suspended Members List cannot compete as a Day Members.
22.6 A competitor must have a medical certificate to cancel out of a Rodeo after the closing date for entries. A competitor who cancels on a medical certificate, cannot compete for ten (10) days from the date of the Rodeo from which he cancelled and must supply a medical release.
22.7 Competitors are only allowed 3 medicals and 3 visual turn outs in each Rodeo year.
22.8 When a competitor visually turns out or Medicals out of a Rodeo he only receives his added money back. Committee levy is retained by the committee and administration levy must be paid to head office.
